Two trainees celebrating passing their teacher training year

About Ormiston Teacher Training.

At Ormiston Teacher Training, we believe teaching isn’t just a profession – it’s a passion, a journey, and a chance to make a lasting impact. Our school-centred initial teacher training (SCITT) programme, developed in partnership with the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT), immerses aspiring teachers in real classrooms from day one. Supported by experienced mentors and weekly core training, you’ll gain the skills, confidence, and experience needed to thrive in the classroom.

Our training is built on evidence-based research, expert guidance, and practical experience in local schools across the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk. Whether you’re a recent graduate, a career-changer, or a professional looking to advance in teaching, Ormiston Teacher Training equips you with the tools to make a difference.
