Building on Ormiston Academies Trusts’ extensive experience and reputation in teacher development, Ormiston Teacher Training partners with the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) to offer an immersive and holistic school-centred initial teacher training (SCITT) programme that places aspiring teachers in classrooms from the start of their career.
Supported by dedicated mentors and weekly core training from the Ormiston Teacher Training teams, aspiring teachers are able to grow and hone their knowledge, confidence, and skill in the classroom across our four training campuses located in the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Rooted in national research, expert support, and adapted to local contexts, Ormiston Teacher Training is crafted by experienced educators to help the next generation of teachers develop and nurture their talent and passion for education. Our courses lead to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and 60 master’s level credits for a successful early teaching career.
Campus Locations
Your weekly core training will be based at one of our Ormiston Teacher Training study sites (our campuses). These are located in the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Each is situated on-site at one of our Ormiston academies, which means that examples of great teaching and learning are just moments away!
