Early Career Teacher Entitlement (ECTE).

About the course.
From September 2025, ECTE will be replacing the ECF-based training and induction. When you earn QTS, you are classed as an Early Career Teacher (ECT). This two-year funded programme by the DfE supports early career teachers when they first start teaching – designed to help them develop professional skills and provide knowledge and skills to meet the teachers’ standards.
Ormiston Teacher Training works closely with Ambition Institute to deliver the ITTECF (Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Framework), with more than 56,000 early career teachers and mentors having started the programme since 2021/22.
